Last week, we introduced the concept of Transformagination and I am glad to say that we have had a number of inquiries about how businesses can work with us to transformaginate their world.
The first step is accept the fact that there is a new normal. We don’t know what that looks like for your business specifically but we do know that the old normal is not where you want to focusing your attention. Things have changed and will continue to change dramatically as the post-COVID-19 world starts to emerge. One thing that I do think will emerge during this time of major transformation is this – that the people who held the most influential roles in the pre-COVID days are not necessarily the ones who will be in the same position of influence in The New Normal. Think about it for a moment – in most larger businesses, the people with influence had some, if not all of these attributes – you can probably think of more:
- Senior position in the organisational diagram
- Long tenure within the business and/or sector
- Vast amounts of experience
- Reliability
- Predictability
- Risk aversion
- Knowledge of the industry and “how things work around here”
But, we think that many of those and other traits that have traditionally provided influence in businesses are going to become significantly less important (and in fact, less desirable) for companies who want to use transformaginative thinking to achieve amazing things in The New Normal. Instead, we think that these are the attributes that will drive real transformation and create successful and dynamic businesses.
- Creative
- Adaptable
- Flexible
- Agility
- Imaginative
- Risk-takers
If you are one of the pre-COVID influencers, where does this leave you? I don’t think that the list is mutually exclusive … there are many who have what we might call the transformaginative traits but have never been allowed to display them. If you are one those people, now is your time to shine. If you are not able to display these newly-valuable transformaginative traits, it’s never too late to learn or to ask for help.
And we are here ready to help .. get in touch so we can get the ball rolling for you.
